Customer terms
Terms of Service
Effective 2026-09-28
These Terms govern access to Vance, including the Vance Payroll and Vance People services selected during signup. By creating an account, you confirm that you are authorized to act for the subscribing company and agree to these Terms.
Account and authorized use
You are responsible for accurate account information, authorized user access, password and multi-factor authentication security, and activity performed through your company workspace. You must promptly remove access that is no longer required.
Trial and subscription
During public signup, you may subscribe immediately or start the trial period displayed for the selected package. A no-card trial does not automatically convert or charge you. If you authorize a recurring payment method, the displayed subscription amount and billing frequency apply, subject to the payment provider's confirmation.
Published package limits apply to the selected company. When a trial expires without an active paid subscription, Vance may prevent new transactions while retaining payroll and audit records in accordance with these terms and the Privacy Notice.
Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of company, employee, compensation, attendance, payroll adjustment, bank, and statutory information entered or imported into Vance. You must review payroll calculations, reports, and filings before approval, payment, submission, or reliance.
Payroll and statutory limitations
Vance is a software service and does not replace professional accounting, payroll, tax, legal, or regulatory advice. Statutory tables and calculations support your workflow, but your company remains responsible for validating applicable rules, deadlines, remittances, filings, employee payments, and government submissions.
Availability and support
Vance may perform maintenance, correct defects, and change the service to protect security or reliability. Support scope and response targets are those communicated for your package or in a later written agreement. The service should not be your only repository for legally required source documents or business continuity records.
Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended for security risk, unlawful use, material breach, or expiration without an agreed paid subscription. Vance will preserve retained payroll, statutory, and audit records according to the applicable retention policy and written agreement, subject to law and legitimate security requirements.
Changes to these Terms
Materially revised Terms will be versioned. When renewed acceptance is required, Vance will present the updated version before continued use or conversion.
